1. Haluskan bawang merah, bawang putih, jahe, kunyit, kemiri, ketumbar, jintan 2. Tumis bumbu halus, masukkan serai, daun salam, daun jeruk, lengkuas, kayu manis. Tumis hingga wangi 3. Setelah bumbu wangi, masukkan ayam. Masak hingga tercampur rata dan ayam berubah warna 4. Setelah ayam berubah warna, masukkan santan cair, aduk merata. 5. Masukkan garam, gula, merica, kaldu bubuk. Aduk merata. Masak hingga mendidih, sambil di aduk agar tidak pecah santan 6. Setelah mendidih masukkan santan kental, aduk merata. Dan masak kembali hingga mendidih 7. Setelah mendidih dan ayam matang, opor ayam bisa disajikan.
